Madgwick hits perfect drive

The Marion golf team traveled Thursday to a tough and hilly Council Grove course.

“I was impressed with how several players hit the ball,” coach Max Venable said.

On the eighth hole, par four, Georgia Madgwick hit a perfect drive.

“It was a downhill tee shot with a large pond at the end of the fairway, and she played it perfectly,” Venable said.

The varsity team will travel Thursday to Clay Center.

“The girls are having fun and learning a lot in the process,” Venable said.
