Two men arrested for suspicion of possession of methamphetamine

A two-month investigation culminated in the arrests of two Marion men on drug charges last week after 57 grams of methamphetamine were found.
That amount of methamphetamine would be worth between $3,200 and $3,600, according to addiction help site crystalmethaddiction.org.
Fifty-seven grams is roughly the weight of a tennis ball, or the weight of two AA batteries.
Lonney Teichmann, 60, and Kevin Geren, 58, both of Marion, were arrested on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine Dec. 18 after drug dogs found methamphetamine in a vehicle the two were in.
Teichmann was seen by law enforcement at 2 p.m. in a vehicle near Sunflower Rd. and US-50 in Marion. There was already a warrant for his arrest alleging distribution of methamphetamine.
Marion, Newton, and Hillsboro police, and Marion and Harvey County Sheriff’s offices all cooperated in the investigation.
Additional offenses of each included suspicion of possession of marijuana, and suspicion of transporting an open container of alcohol.
In addition to the methamphetamine, a gram of marijuana was found in the vehicle.
Geren also had a warrant alleging failure to appear in court for a hearing on charges of driving while suspended and speeding.
