Valera Hamm

Services for Valera Hamm, 90, Durham, who died Friday at Salem Home in Hillsboro, will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Durham Baptist Church.

Relatives will receive friends 6 to 8 tonight at Jost Funeral Home, Hillsboro.

Born Sept. 10, 1932, in Tecumseh to Presley and Helen (Buckle) Graves, she married Gaylord Hamm on Oct. 1, 1948, in Florence. He died in 2021.

Survivors include son James Gaylord Hamm of rural Tampa; daughters Bonnie Jean Winter of Silver Lake and Barbara Fay Williams of Glenpool, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial has been established with the church.
