Vicki Hiebert

Services for Vicki Jean Hiebert, 72, who died July 21 at Ascension Via Christi St Francis Hospital in Wichita, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the American Legion ballroom in Hillsboro.

Born Jan. 14, 1952, in Lamar, Colorado, to Calvin and Dorothy (Dody) Kelley, she grew up in Hillsboro and graduated from Hillsboro High School and Sidney’s School of Cosmetology.

She married Loren Hiebert in February, 1981, at First Mennonite Church in Hillsboro.

She was a hairdresser at NuCharm Salon, co-owner of House of Hair, worked at Stroud Insurance and in various jobs for the Marion and McPherson County sheriff’s departments, and ran Cottonwood Outfitters with her husband for nearly 20 years at their home.

She was preceded in death by father Calvin Kelley, mother Dorothy Yost, stepfathers Orville Schmidt and Martin Yost, and sister Sandy Friesen.

Survivors include sisters Sheryl Wright of Hillsboro; Cindy Schick of Bunker Hill, Illinois; and Kimberlee Carlson of Galva.

Memorials have been established with the Legion post and Marion County emergency medical services.
