Goessel girls
The Goessel girls started out red-hot from the field in their first game in the new year.
A three-pointer from Delaney Duerksen and another from Abbigail Funk earned the Bluebirds a 6-0 lead, and it was a lead they never would relinquish.
Numerous steals and layups helped Goessel to a 21-8 lead at the end of the first quarter.
Brooklyn Wuest got into the scoring column in the second quarter, and the Bluebirds led 31-19 at the half.
Goessel extended its lead in the third, allowing Solomon only two points in the quarter.
